Ghanaian footballer Malik Abubakari has expressed his excitement about joining Danish club Viborg FF during the ongoing transfer window.
The 23-year-old has embarked on a loan journey, signing up until the season’s end from his previous team, Malmo FF in Sweden. Abubakari, known for his goal-scoring abilities, is anticipated to make a significant impact for Viborg throughout the remaining season.
The former HJK Helsinki player’s move involves an initial six-month loan with an option for Viborg to buy him at the conclusion of the season. Abubakari shared his positive impression of the club, stating, “I have already got a really good impression of the club and have met some good people, so it feels great to be here.” He sought advice from Razak Pimpong, a former Ghanaian striker with Viborg experience, who spoke highly of both the club and the city, influencing Abubakari’s decision.

Having previously been loaned to Slovan Bratislava at the beginning of the 2023/24 season, Abubakari now looks forward to concluding the campaign in the Danish top-flight with Viborg.
