Ghana Captain Andre Ayew has been crowned Swansea City’s Player of the season following his thunderous display at the club in the just ended English Championship season.
Ayew 30, beat off competition from his colleagues to clinch the high-status award at the club’s end of season awards for the 2019/20 season.
The former Marseille star recorded arguably his best season in England with Steve Cooper’s side where he netted 18 goals in all competitions, 16 in the Championship.
He also won three other awards including supporters player of the season, away player of the season and players’ player of the season during the event held on Thursday.
The 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup winner returned to Swansea City after spending the 2018/19 season at Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce.
His current contract with Swansea City expired in the summer of 2021.
