Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has refused a call up to the English national under 21 team.
The Junior Three Lions will face Romania in an international friendly next week and Odoi who is being courted by Ghana has declined to join them.
“Callum is a player that we really like. I’ve had some really good conversations with him and his advisor and Callum felt it wasn’t the right time for him to come with England.” English Under 21 boss Lee Carseley told Football London
“He’s stayed back at Chelsea to work on his development there. I respected the decision and that was it.”
Hudson-Odoi whose parents are Ghanaians visited Accra during his summer holidays and met with President Akufo-Addo who authorized the GFA and the Ministry of Sports to get him play for the Black Stars.
