Former Executive Board Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Dr. Kofi Koduah Sarpong who headed a five-member management team to lead the Black Stars to the 2019 AFCON in Egypt, says Ghana was not disgraced at the continent’s biggest showpiece.
The Black Stars exited the tournament at the round of sixteen stage after losing 7-6 on penalties to Tunisia.
Nonetheless, the GNPC boss says the Black Stars did their best, adding he totally disagrees with those who say the country was disgraced at the tournament.
”Ghana was not disgraced at the 2019 AFCON Our expectations were high and we couldn’t reach our target,” the GNPC boss said on Asempa FM.
He further indicated that though the management committee of the Black Stars team’s report at the Afcon is not ready, his outfit would come out collectively with a more balanced and objective one.
”Our report is not out yet,collectively we will come out with a report which will be very balanced and objective,”
