Ghanaian forward, Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah scored his first goal of the season for FC Lugano in their away game at Servette FC on Sunday afternoon.
The former SC Kriens star player lasted 80 minutes of the match before he was substituted going into the last 10 minutes of the match entertaining game.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, Mattia Bottani broke the deadlock of the match to put the visitors 1-0 up two minutes into the second period of the encounter.
Two minutes later, Abubakar-Ankrah scored from the center of the box into the top right corner to make with his right foot to make it 2-0 after 49 minutes.
Lugano moves to 5th position ahead of Servette FC in 6th with their first victory of the season after two matches.
The 24-year-old former Portugal youth player who’s eligible to represent his mother country, Ghana, has a goal in two matches for the Black and Whites outfit.
