In the Premier League, German-born Ghanaian Collin Quaner could not make the grades at Huddersfield Town for their 1-1 draw at Burnley.
Denis Odoi played for Fulham in their 5-1 home loss to Arsenal but Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Timothy Fosu-Mensah missed the game with shoulder injury.
Both Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp started the game for Crystal Palace and both were substituted when they lost 1-0 against Wolves at the Selhurst Park.
Daniel Amartey played for Leicester City when they suffered a 2-1 home loss against Everton.
Christian Atsu came off the Newcastle United bench to play the last 12 minutes in their 3-2 loss against Manchester United at the Old Trafford.
Elsewhere in the Championship, Black Stars lateral defender Andy Kyere Yiadom was in action for 90 minutes Reading when West Bromwich Albion defeated 4-1.
Albert Adomah was introduced to play the last 3 minutes of normal time for Aston Villa when they lost 2-1 to Millwall at The Den.

Leicester City rubbished Aston Villa 3-0 at their own backyard. Ghanaian Johnson Gyamfi warmed the bench for the Young Foxes but his brother Dennis Gyamfi did not make the trip.
Fulham made mockery of Reading by disgracing them 7-0. Ghanaian youngster Zico Asare played for the Cottagers. But, his Ghanaian compatriot Cameron Antwi could not make the Fulham squad for the game.
Liverpool won 1-0 against Manchester City at the Liverpool’s Academy Ground. Ghanaian youngster Yeboah Amankwah who hails from Berekum warmed the bench for Manchester City.
Wolves defeated Middlesbrough 4-0 in an entertaining clash. Ghanaian Kevin Berkoe started for the Wolves and was later joined in midfield by his Ghanaian compatriot Jed Abbey. Harold Essien played in lateral defence for Boro.
ITALY
Sassuolo suffered a 2-0 loss to Napoli. Ghanaian Kevin-Prince Boateng played for Sassuolo while Claud Adjapong was unused by Sassuolo. Meanwhile Alfred Duncan missed the game with injury.
Kwadwo Asamoah flourished for Inter Milan as they managed a 2-1 win over Spal.
Frosinone trekked to the Stadio Olimpico di Torino where 16,000 fans watched them lose 3-2 to Torino in a keenly contested game. Ghanaian midfielder Raman Chibsah was in action for 90 minutes for the losers while youngster Emmanuel Prince Besea warmed their bench.
Midfielder Godfred Donsah was unused by Bologna as they suffered a 2-0 loss at Cagliari in the Serie A. He warmed the bench for the entire period of the game.
Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah was taken off in the 73rd minute by Empoli who won succumbed to a 2-0 home loss to AS Roma.
Defender Nicholas Opoku warmed the bench for Udinese as the Little Zebras as Juventus beat them 2-0. Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu missed the game due to injury.
In the Serie B, Ghanaian defender Bright Gyamfi warmed the bench for Benevento when they lost 2-1 against Pescara.
Defender Bright Addae was replaced in the second half by Ascoli when they lost 3-2 against Foggia.
Midfielder Moses Odjer played 51 minutes for Salernitana when they drew 0-0 with Cremonese.
Emmanuel Gyasi set up two goals for Spezia in their 3-1 win at Livorno. He was replaced later in the game.
Former Fiorentina youth team captain Daniel Kofi Agyei played for Carrarese in their 3-1 away loss to Pro Vercelli.

Ghana-pursuit Inaki Williams Dannis was in action for full time for Athletic Club who were shocked 3-1 by visiting Real Sociedad.
Thomas Partey came off the bench to set up the only goal of the game for Atletico Madrid in their 1-0 win over Real Betis.
Emmanuel Boateng started ahead of Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral at Levante as he played 84 minutes before he was replaced by the latter in Levante’s 1-0 away win over Getafe. Striker Raphael Dwamena was able to break into the matchday squad of Levante but he watched the entire proceedings from the bench.
Wakaso Mubarak flourished in midfield for Alaves when they booked a famous 1-0 win over Real Madrid. His Ghanaian compatriot Patrick Twumasi missed the game with ankle injury.
In the Segunda Division, Ghanaian midfielder Iddris Baba came off the bench to play for Real Mallorca in their 4-1 win over Tenerife.
Yaw Yeboah played 81 minutes for Numancia in their 1-0 win over Extremadura UD.
Real Oviedo won 1-0 against Albacete. Ghanaian midfielder Richard Boateng warmed the bench for Oviedo.
AUSTRIA
Ghanaian midfielder Seth Paintsil was in action for 73 minutes for Admira as they squeezed out a point from St. Polten after holding them to a 0-0 draw.
Wacker Innsbruck won 1-0 against LASK Linz. Samuel Tetteh missed the game with injury.
Italian-born Ghanaian midfielder Kelvin Yeboah warmed the bench for Wattens when they returned from their trip to FK Austria Vienna II with a 2-1 away win.
Striker Paul Mensah scored the third goal for Kapfenberg as they silenced A. Klagenfurt 3-1.
Former WAFA defender Gideon Mensah was introduced in the second round by Liefering as they slipped to a 2-1 home loss against Lafnitz.
Defender Kennedy Boateng was booked in the 90th minute and impressed in defence for Ried when they picked a narrow 1-0 win over Wacker Innsbruck II.
FRANCE
Majeed Waris was replaced after 30 minutes by Nantes in their 3-0 loss to Bordeaux. Ghanaian defender Enock Kwateng missed out of the Nantes squad for the game.
In the Ligue 2, newly-promoted Beziers claimed a 3-2 win over Le Havre on Friday. Former Ghana U20 striker Ebenezer Assifuah came off the bench in the second-half to play for the losers.
Brest won 3-1 against Valenciennes at their own backyard. And, former ex-Right to Dreams and Ghana U17 defender Emmanuel Ntim warmed the bench for the home side who lost the game.
Striker Grejohn Kyei came off the bench to score the match winner for Lens when they won 2-1 against Auxerre on Saturday.
Meanwhile in the Ligue de National, former Ghana U17 midfielder Charles Boateng starred in midfield for Avranches when they lost 1-0 against Drancy JA.
NETHERLANDS
In the Eredivisie, Ghanaian defender Robin Polley warmed the bench for ADO Den Haag as they won 1-0 against FC Groningen.
Myron Boadu missed AZ Alkmaar’s 5-0 away loss to Ajax Amsterdam with ankle injury.
PSV Eindhoven confirmed their superiority over VVV Venlo after consigning them to a 4-0 defeat. Ghanaian forward Johnathan Opoku Agyemang played 90 minutes for the losers while youngster Cody Gakpo warmed the bench for the winners.
De Graafschaps’ abysmal form in the season continued as they were demolished 5-0 by visiting Heerenveen. Ghanaian defender and former Ajax youth defender Leeroy Owusu played for the losers.
In the Dutch second-tier league, Ghanaian attacker Kevin Luckassen came off the bench in the 80th minute to play for Almere City when they won 1-0 against NEC Nimejen. Samuel Brobbey wasn’t part of their squad for the game.
In other games, Dutch-born Ghanaian Rodney Antwi came off the Volendam bench in the 89th minute to help them record their first win of the season, beating RKC Waalwijk 1-0.
Elsewhere Kumasi-born Portugal youth international Asumah Abubakar was replaced after just 41 minutes by Maastricht when they suffered a 3-0 home loss against Den Bosch.
In the third-tier league, Haji Adoma and Alfred Mensah played for Jong Almere City in their 3-1 loss at HFC.
RUSSIA
Ghanaian defender Kadri Mohammed was used as midfielder by Arsenal Tula when they drew 1-1 with Ural in the Russian Premier League on Friday.
Ghanaian midfielder Aziz Tetteh played for Dinamo Moscow when they lost 1-0 at FK Krylya Sovetov Samara.
Midfielder Rabiu Mohammed was booked in the 58th minute by Anzhi in their 0-0 draw with Akhmat Grozny.
SAUDI ARABIA
Ghanaian midfielder Carlos Ohene was booked and played 90 minutes for Ohod in their 1-0 home reverse against Al Batin.
SWEDEN
Ghanaian defender Samuel Mensiro was in action for Ostersunds when they won 3-0 against visiting Dalkurd. Ghanaian duo of Patrick Kpozo and Frank Arhin came off the bench in the second-half to play for the winners.
Nasiru Mohammed missed BK Hacken’s 1-1 draw with Malmo due to thigh injury.
Enoch Adu Kofi played 90 minutes for AIK Solna in their 1-1 draw with Orebro.
Thomas Boakye played 46 minutes for Halmstad BK in their 3-0 home loss to Varnamo.
Still in the second-tier league Osters beat Landskrona 5-0. Ghanaian pair of Sadat Karim and Emmanuel Okine played for the losers.
Mohammed Abubakari played Helsingborg IF when they beat 1-0 Falkenbergs. Enock Kwakwa came off the bench to play for Falkenbergs.
In the third-tier league, Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Yeboah played for Umea FC in their 3-0 win over Karlslunds.
Linkopings suffered a 4-2 loss to Syrianska. Ghanaian player Saban Lawson played for the losers.
BELARUS
Striker Joel Fameyeh scored in the 23rd minute and was replaced in the 73rd minute as he helped Dinamo Brest to win 4-1 against Dnepr Mogilev in the top-flight.
Seidu Yahaya was in action for Dinamo Minsk in their 2-0 win over Smolevichi STI.
BELGIUM
In the Jupiler League, KAS Eupen were beaten 2-1 by in-form Antwerp. Eric Ocansey started the game for Eupen and replaced in the 73rd minute but both Daniel Opare and William Owusu Acheampong were dropped to the bench and were unused.
Joseph Painstil scored twice for Genk when they defeated Gent 5-1. Nana Akwasi Asare skippered the losers. Joseph Aidoo played in central defence.
Petit midfielder Samuel Asamoah overly impressed in midfield for St Truiden as they brushed aside Royal Mouscron 3-1.
Waregem were beaten 2-1 by Anderlecht. Dennis Appiah, Francis Amuzu and Dauda Mohammed were in the Anderlecht team but only Dauda came off the bench to play.
Ghanaian midfielder Bennard Kumordzi is still serving suspension and watched Kortrijk’s 3-1 away win over Lokeren from the screen.
Waasland-Beveren needed a 79th minute leveller to draw 1-1 with KV Oostende. Ghana winger Nana Opoku Ampomah was in action for 90 minutes for the home side.
In the second-tier league, Beerschot managed a 1-0 win over Tubize. Ghanaian midfielder Divine Naahspotting the No.23 jersey played 90 minutes for the losers but his former Right to Dream Academy team-mate Ernest Agyiri was unused by his side.
BULGARIA
Septemvri Sofia were thrush 3-0 by CSKA Sofia in an entertaining game in the top-flight. Ghanaian winger Edwin Gyasi dazzled for the winners. Ishmael Baidu played 90 minutes for Septemvri Sofia.
CHINA
Wing-half Frank Acheampong scored a 94th equaliser for Tianjin Teda in their 3-3 draw with Changchun Yatai.
CROATIA
Gorica managed a sweet 2-1 win over Rijeka in the top-flight. Former Fiorentina attacker Maxwell Acostystarted the game but was taken off early in the second-half.
Meanwhile, Slaven Belupo subjected Istra to a 3-1 defeat. Ghanaian midfielder Obeng Regan played full time for the losers.
Ghanaian attacker Said Ahmed Said came off then bench in the second-half to play for Hajduk Split in their 2-0 home loss to Osijek.
CYPRUS
Former Atletico Madrid B midfielder Benjamin Akoto Asamoah was in action for Doxa and was booked in the second-half as they won 2-1 Paralimni.
CZECH REPUBLIC
Sigma Olomouc subjected Sparta Prague to the second straight defeat after beating them 1-0. Ghanaian forward Benjamin Tetteh played 59 minutes for Prague.
Emmanuel Antwi was replaced in the second-half by Pribram in their 4-1 defeat against Slavia Prague.
In the U19 League, ex-Dreams FC attacker Zuberu Sharani played for Sparta Prague when they won 3-0 against Jihlava U19.
EGYPT
Ghanaian striker John Antwi was booked in the 50th while in action for Misr Elmaqasah when they drew 0-0 with El Gounah.
FINLAND
HJK Helsinki won 1-0 against VPS. Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Annan played for HJK but Evans Mensah was not in the squad.
Reuben Ayarna was in action for KuPS in their 2-0 win over Ilves.

David Mawutor played in defence for Zhetysu Taldykorgan when they drew 1-1 with Shakhtar Karagandy in the Premier League.
