German Bundesliga 2 side SC Paderborn 07 have announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Prince Osei Owusu on a two-year contract in the ongoing transfer window.
The former Stuttgart youth product joins the Benteler-Arena outfit as a free agent after terminating his contract with newly-promoted top-flight side Arminia Bielefeld.
Announcing Owusu’s capture via the club’s Official Website read ”Prince Owusu , who has terminated his contract with Arminia Bielefeld, has a short way to Pader . The center forward signed a two-year contract in Paderborn and is given the number 7 on his shirt. The 1.91-meter-tall attacker has played eleven junior international matches for Germany (U15, U18 and U19) in which he scored five goals. In addition to his commitment in East Westphalia, he was already on the ball for VfB Stuttgart, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and TSV 1860 Munich.”
Owusu is yet to make his appearance for the just-started football season in the German second-tier league campaign.
Born in Wertheim to Ghanaian parentage, THE 23-year old striker is still eligible to play for Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars despite featuring for Germany at the U15, U18 and U19 levels.
