Talented Ghanaian forward Felix Afena Gyan was again in top form for AS Roma as he roasted AC Milan’s defenders to score a sensational goal in his team’s 2-2 away stalemate in the Primavera on Saturday.
The stunning solo effort marks the youngster’s second consecutive goal this campaign after fetching the winner in The Giallorossi’s 1-0 home win over Sassuolo last week.
But if you thought that running through opponent defenders to connect a pass into the net for your season’s debut goal was awesome, then wait until you see this one which is beyond what words can describe.
With the score levels goalless in the 5th minute, Afena Gyan attacked the opponent’s area with an electrifying run and an opponent weighing down on him in a shoulder to shoulder challenge.
The 18-year-old Ghanaian got his marker sprawling on the ground after a nice touch of the ball inside the box and without a breather, pull off a dazzling reflex effort to dribble past the goalkeeper, who had left his lines and was pouncing on him with grit force.
The ball rolled towards the byline, and as Afena Gyan brought it back under control, five Inter players, including the goalkeeper, picked spots in front of the posts, ostensibly to block the young lad from Wenchi from getting a clear sight of goal.
But Afena Gyan showed one of his trademark qualities, following two flowery touches of the ball with an unexpected strike into the side net of the far post.
It was yet another sublime finish from the young lad who has been so impressive since joining the AS Roma youth side halfway last season.
AS Roma could not grab the maximum points but are still at the summit of the table, after three games, with seven points, a point more than Genoa, Torino and Napoli in descending order.
