Ghanaian forward, Charles Sarpong netted the winner for his team Chicago Fires FC as they narrowly beat DC United in the MLS.
Sarpong put the home team in front just three minutes after kick off as he connected to a free kick from the right side of attack inside the goal area.
Boris Sekulic made it 2-0 to the host on the stroke of half time to ensure Chicago Fires were in a comfortable lead going to the break.
Jonathan Bornstein gave the visitors hope when he scored an own goal on the 56th minutes to set up a grand style finish to the game.
There were no more goals in the match and Chicago Fire recorded a hard earned win at home.
The 31-year-old Ghanaian has two goals in seven games this season in the MLS.
