Ghanaian international attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus has been named in the Eredivisie Team of the Week after an impressive outing for Ajax against Feyenoord on Sunday.
The 20-year-old came off the bench to score for his side AFC Ajax Amsterdam in their emphatic 3-0 win away at Rotterdam against Feyenoord in the De Klassieker.
Marcos Senesi scored an own goal to put Ajax in the lead jus 21 minutes after Kickoff but the hosts had an opportunity to draw level when Edson Álvarez was shown the red card following a foul in the box but Leroy Fer missed from 12 yards.
Ridgeciano Haps also scored at the wrong end of the field to make it 2-0 to the visitors seven minutes after the home team had also been reduced to ten men.
Eleven minutes to full time, Kudus was perfectly placed in the box to connect with Dusan Tadic’s pass from the center of the box into the bottom right corner to make it a resounding anf and a comprehensive 3-0 win for the Dutch Eredivisie giants.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian prodigy has three goals and three assists in 15 games in an injury-ravaged season since his move to the club last summer from FC Nordsjælland in Denmark.
