Ghanaian forward Joel Fameyeh was on the score sheet for FC Orenburg in the Russian National Football League on Wednesday afternoon.
The former Asokwa Deportivo SC hitman netted in his team’s resounding 3-0 at home to Shinnik Yaroslavl to maintain their five points lead in the Russian second tier.
The host were put in front after 28 minutes by Nikolay Prudnikov with a fine finish to make it 1-0 before the half-hour mark.
Fameyeh scored the team’s second goal of the match to make it 2-0 ten minutes later with seven minutes left on the clock before the break.
Three minutes to the final whistle, Ziga Skoflek made it 3 – 0 to the host by putting the icing on the cherry for the Blue and Whites who look well on course to make a U-turn into the top-flight next season.
The 23-year-old predator finisher has two goals in eight games in the 2020-21 season in the Russian National Football League.
