Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, has affirmed that the government is committed to building 10 multipurpose stadia across Ghana.

Currently, Ghana does not have modern stadiums that players and clubs can compete in for laurels. Many clubs in the Ghana Premier League and the lower divisions have had to rent stadia for use.

Ussif and the government look to curb this issue with more stadia and astroturfs.

“Government remains committed to the development of sports infrastructure which includes the construction of 10 multipurpose stadia across the country and the astroturf across the country,” Mustapha Ussif stated at the GFA ordinary congress on Tuesday.

The Ghana Premier League is set to start on the weekend of 9-12 September,2022 and a new headline sponsor has been announced for the Division One League.
