Karela United and Great Olympics are the first teams to reach the 30-point mark in the Ghana Premier League season after 17 games played.
The leaguer leaders , Karela, and second-placed Olympics were also the first sides to break the 20-point barrier.
The team sponsored by GNPC defeated Aduana Stars by 2-1 last Saturday in Anyinase to collect their 31st point of the season after going down in the 6th minute. Phenomenal striker Diawisie Taylor led the comeback as he registered another brace to take his total goals tally to twelve.
Great Olympics on the other side went to Dawu to shock Dreams FC – who were unbeaten on home ground in five games. Olympics won 1-0 to reach 30 points after 17 matches to pile up the pressure on the team coached by Evans Adottey.
Not many people could have imagined Karela and Olympics staging a neck and neck race but is it the reality now.
