WA All Stars sublime effort in this years’ league has paid off as they were crown champions of the 2015/16 league season.
The northerners triumph, makes it their first trophy ever league trophy since joining the elite division. Notwithstanding their 0-3 defeat to Sekondi Hasaacas, they journey home with silver ware.
New Edubiase, Sekondi Hasaaca and debutant Techiman City could not survive as they drop out of the Ghana’s elite division as the 2015/16 ended this evening.
Edubiase joined the division five seasons ago failed to put in their usual best as poor performances coupled with off the pitch happenings was enough to end their five year stint in the Ghana’s top division.
Accra Hearts of Oak was the architect of Edubiase’s final disgrace as Comos Dawuda’s brace and Patrick Razak goal signaled it all. Wahab Annan got a consolation for the home side. They drew the curtain down with 21 points as the position team.
Sekondi Hasaacas and Techiman 36 and 37 positions was not enough as they placed 15th and 14th respectively to bid a fare well to Ghana premier league.
Hasaacas managed to beat already crowned WA All Stars 3-0 but could not guarantee their stay in the league whilst Berekum Chelsea thrashed City 4-0.
