Accra Great Olympics captain Gladson Awako is excited following his team’s Ghana Premier League matchday 16 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea on Friday.
The Blue and Whites picked their eighth win of the season after sixteen rounds of matches with a 1-0 victory over the Bibires at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The opening half failed to register a goal despite an end-to-end clash as the attackers failed to utilize their chances.
Two minutes after the hour mark, Michael Yeboah broke the deadlock of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up with 28 minutes left to play.
The visitors, Chelsea could not get back into game and succumbed to their first defeat in five matches after winning three and one draw in their last four games before today’s defeat to Olympics in Accra.
Olympics moves to second place on the league table after sixteen games with 27 points and just a point behind leaders Karela United FC.
