Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have sent their condolences to the family of the deceased Jerry John Rawlings.
The sad news of the passing away of the former President of the Republic of Ghana came as a shock to all Ghanaians and the Rainbow family are the latest to send a message to the family of the dead.
“Everyone at Accra Hearts of Oak is saddened to hear of the passing of the former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings after a short illness.”
News from various tabloids and electronic media indicatedthat the former President died in the early hours of Thursday, November 12, 2020, at the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
President Rawlings was Ghana’s former Head-of-State and the first President of the Fourth Republic. He was also an ardent football and a boxing fan and was also a known supporter of Accra Hearts of Oak.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family of the former President at this grievous moment as they mourn their beloved”, the club concluded.
