Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jamal Amofa says he feels very ‘blessed’ anytime he returns to Netherlands from the West African country.
The 21-year-old was born in Amsterdam to a Ghanaian father and a Surinamese mother but comes back to Ghana when the Eertse Divisie is on break.
The Ado Den Hag player in an interview with omroepwest.nl disclosed his love for his African heritage but admits life is much better in Holland.
“The kindness of the people there. It’s hard to describe, but the feeling you get when you get there, it’s beautiful. I like coming there, usually in December, I go there. That’s the best time there. If we get enough days off this December, I’ll be there,” Amofa said.
“I have family living in both urban and rural areas. My family itself is originally from the countryside. I also always take a few days to go there,” he added.
Amofa is enjoying a good campaign this season and has played three of the four games this season.
