Former AshantiGold SC defender Yusif Mubarik has confirmed that he’s currently holding talks with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
The Porcupine Warriors are hoping to secure the signature of out-of-contract AshantiGold defender in the ongoing transfer window as they prepare for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and the Caf Confederation Cup.
Mubarik, 24, is currently unattached after leaving the Miners last month after he failed to renew his contract.
Management of the Kumasi-based club has started negotiations with the former Liberty Professionals central defender and could soon announce his signing.

“It is true I have talked to Kotoko. I am no more an Ashantigold player, my contract has expired,” he told Oyerepa FM.
“In fact, I have given them my word that I will play for them.”
“I don’t fear competition. I am ever ready to fight for a position and I know everything will be successful” added Mubarik.
