Hearts of Oak are on the hunt for a new coach but its not going to be Ibrahim Tanko, SPORTSworldGhana.com have been told.
The Black Stars B gaffer has been earmarked as one of the frontrunners for the vacant Hearts of Oak job after Kosta Papic parted ways with the club.
It has been quite a tumultuous few days for the Accra-based giants with fans seemingly at odds with the board and management over the running of the club. Results have been dire in the ongoing campaign with Hearts currently on a four-game winless run having amassed just 17 points after 13 games.
It has become very imperative then that Hearts get their season back on track before things completely spiral out of control and their first course of business is to name a new coach to come and steady the sinking ship.
Tanko had been tipped to land the job with it being reported that the majority of the fans have given the decision the thumbs up.
Hearts however may need to look elsewhere with the former U23 coach ruling himself out of the job and saying “NO” to the handlers of the club.
Hearts may need to consider the other coaches who are all currently in the running and have been contacted namely Yaw Preko, Maxwell Konadu and Abdul Razak (Golden Boy).
