Ghana’s stalwart defender Mohammed Salisu is on cloud nine after his move to English Premier League side Southampton FC.
The 21-year-old stalwart defender has penned a four-year deal with the Saints after a breakthrough season in the Spanish La Liga.
“It is a very good feeling to be a Southampton Player” the ecstatic Ghanaian said.
“Southampton has a fantastic history of developing young players and I hope I do my best to add to that group”, he told the club website.
The Ghana International averaged a 6.79 ratings in the 2019-20 season surpassing all Ghanaian defenders in Europe.
Southampton completed the move for the Ghanaian weeks ago but his announcement was delayed due to paper works.
After securing his work permit which would allow him to represent the St Mary’s side, the 21-year-old dream move was officially announced by the Saints on Tuesday.
