Kumasi King Faisal FC on Sunday morning boosted their quest to survive in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League with a comfortable 2-0 win at home over Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs.
The Green and Whites lads saw off the challenge from the Green and Yellows in Techiman at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in their penultimate game in the ongoing league.
The game, which was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon was rained off after a heavy downpour and was honoured on Sunday morning.
Both teams played with high speed and intensity in the first half with the hopes of striking first but there were no goals scored as the opening half ended in a goalless stalemate.
Seven minutes after the break, striker, Kwadwo Frimpong found the back of the net to make it 1-0 to the home team who lifted their game above their opponents in the second half.
On the 61st minute mark, youngster, Zubeiru Ibrahim secures victory for the Insha Allah Boys as they beat Dwarfs 2-0 at the end of the game to move up on the table after with one game left to play.
Ebusua Dwarfs will host Bechem United who play at home today to Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC in their last game at the Cape Coast stadium.
King Faisal after today’s defeat would have to manage a draw next weekend when they visit another relegation threatened team, Dansoman Liberty Professionals FC in Sogakope.
