Kamaldeen Sulemana scored a world-class beauty against Lens on his Ligue 1 debut on Sunday and the goalkeeper who conceded the goal bagged by the Ghanaian winger has spoken about the difficulty he faced in stopping the quality effort of Sulemana.
Sulemana excelled on his debut for Rennes in the Ligue and received a standing ovation from the Rennes fans after the game ended 1-1.
The former Nordsjaelland winger received a ball on the left side of the Rennes attack closer to the Lens area. He easily danced around defender Steven Fortes before providing a world class curler that landed at the far end of Jean Louis Leca’s goal.
“I see that he fixes Steven (Fortes) and, afterwards, to be very frank, I am so far from the ball that I have the impression that it will come out” admits the Lens goalkeeper.
“I’m still trying to see what I could have done better, but this time I’m not going to flog myself. ” Leca added.
