Aduana Stars orchestrated a remarkable comeback to regain their winning form, handing Great Olympics their first loss of the season at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
The Ogya Boys rebounded from being a goal down to secure a convincing 3-1 victory over Olympics in their week six clash held in Dormaa Ahenkro on a wet Sunday afternoon.
This win marked Aduana’s third consecutive triumph in front of their home supporters, further solidifying their strength when playing at home.
In terms of lineup adjustments, Yaw Acheampong introduced three changes to the squad, with young Anderson Fiifi Asamoah making his season debut. Gabriel Akwasi Mensah and Silas Kyeremeh also earned starting roles in place of Bright Enchill and Derrick Afeson Boateng, respectively. In contrast, Olympics boss Annor Walker maintained the same starting lineup that had previously secured a 3-0 victory against Accra Lions FC.
Midfielder Emmanuel Antwi broke the deadlock by scoring in the 20th minute, granting the Dade Boys the lead despite the prevailing run of play.
Aduana’s striker, Isaac Mintah, then equalized in the 37th minute before scoring again just before the first half’s additional minutes, placing his team in the lead.
The comeback was sealed by experienced winger Emmanuel Gyamfi, who netted deep into stoppage time, ultimately resulting in a 3-1 victory for the Ogya Boys.
