The 20-year old forward registered his first goal of the season in the miners 3-1 heavy victory over Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak.
Accra Hearts of Oak were handed a shocking defeat by Ashanti Gold SC in match day two of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday at the Cape Coast sports stadium.
A goal each from James Akaminko, Amos Addai Safiu Mumuni was all that the miners needed to demolish Hearts 3-1 at their newly adopted Cape Coast stadium.
James Akaminko gave the visitors the lead in the 11th minute to end the half 1-0 to Ashanti Gold SC credit.
Back from recess, thunderous winger Amos Addai doubled the miners lead after 15 minutes when he disconnected Hearts defence to register his first goal of the season.
Hearts who were under huge pressure and difficult to contain Ashgold pressure after conceding their second goal gradually gathered momentum by coming into the game in their quest to reduce the score line and saw their efforts rewarded in the 76th minute when Joseph Esso’s shot beat Goal keeper George Owu at the far end of the post to give the Phobians their first goal in the game.
Striker Shafui Mumuni however wrapped up Ashgold’s victory when he scored on stoppage time to give his side a deservedly 3-1 away victory.
