Experienced midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso was in a dazzling form for Jiangsu Suning as they beat eight times champions Guangzhou Evergrande 2-1 on the road to lift their first ever Chinese Super League title on Thursday.
The Ghana International was at the heart of midfield for the Suning side as they beat Evergrande away from home to annex the giant trophy for the first time in the club’s history.
Italian star, Eder opened the scoring deep into additional when he scored on the on the third minutes of stoppage time to put the visitors in the lead in the match and 1-0 on aggregate before the interval.
Brazilian, Alex Texeira doubled the visitors advantage two minutes after the recess but Shihao Wei scored a consolation for his team a minute after the hour mark.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian box-to-box midfielder, Wakaso played full throttle for his team as they won 2-1 away at Guangzhou after a goalless first leg to win their maiden Chinese Super League title.
