Ghana midfielder Nana Amponsah is optimistic Royal Antwerp have what it takes to compete for the Belgian Pro League title this season.
Antwerp currently are fifth on the league standings with 20 points, two points behind leaders Charleroi who have so far amassed 22 points.
Antwerp suffered a 1-0 defeat to giants Anderlecht in their last game to drop on the league table to the fifth position.
The Black Stars winger who joined the club on loan from German Bundesliga II side Fortuna Dusseldorf is sure his side can become champions.
“Of course we can take the title”, the attacker tells Het Laatste Nieuws after all.
“But instead of talking about it a lot, we have to keep working hard from match to match. If we really want it hard enough, a lot is possible.”
Ampomah,24. has made three outings for Royal Antwerp in the ongoing season.
