New Edubiase United President Abdul Salam Yakubu has publicly backed Nana Yaw Amponsah to succeed as Kotoko Chief Executive Officer.
The former Phar Rangers President was confirmed as the new Asante Kotoko CEO last Friday in a colorful inauguration ceremony held at the Sports Hotel.
Salam Yakubu is owner of Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase United and believes the 2019 GFA Presidential candidate has the vital expertise to succeed in Kumasi.
“I know Nana Yaw for a very long time. I was one of the first persons he called to disclose his intention of running for the GFA Presidential seat last year” Abdul Salam Yakubu revealed on Fox FM.
“I have no doubts that he will succeed. He is young but very clever. He was the one that transfered my first players abroad and so I know what Im talking about” Yakubu added.
The players the Edubiase boss was talking about are the twin footballers Nuhu Fuseini and Alhassan Nuhu who joined FC Sheriff in Moldova in 2012/13.
