Tema Youth President Wilfred Osei Kwaku has spoken some good words about the ongoing chaos in Ivory Coast football after legend Didier Drogba saw his candidacy for the presidential polls rejected.
The experienced Ghanaian football administrator himself went to the Court of Arbitration of Sport as he believes his disqualification from the October 2019 GFA Presidential elections was lacked fairness.
“This is all African football politics.” Osei Kwaku Palmer said in an interview with Kumasi-based Fox FM.
“Myself I have a similar case in front of me and so I am minding my own business for now. But what I want to say is that the Ivorian FA should do the right thing so that at the end of the electioneering process they elect a leader that can change the fortunes of Ivorian football.” he explained.
“The personality to lead the association does not matter. It is about the measures that the eventual winner put in place that will resuscitate Ivorian football. That is the most important thing.” Osei Kwaku advised.
Meanwhile FIFA has ordered for all election activities at the francophone West African country to be suspended immediately due to some irregularities in the work of the election committee.
