There were a number of Ghanaian players in action for their respective clubs in Thursday’s UEFA Europa & Conference Leagues.
Below is a wrap on how they fared:
in the Europa League,19-year-old Ghanaian midfielder Raymond Owusu Frimpong came off the bench in the 84th minute to play for Ukrainian side FK Zorya Luhansk who suffered a 3-0 loss to Austrian Bundesliga side Rapid Vienna.
Ghanaian duo of Emmanuel Ocran and Mustapha Yahaya were in action for Lincoln Red Imps when they drew 1-1 with Latvian outfit FC Riga.
Vitkoria Plzen defeated CSKA Sofia 2-0. Ghanaian midfielder Charles Bismarck came off the bench to play the last 15 minutes for the losers.
Kennedy Boateng- Santa Clara vs Partizan Beograd
Kennedy Boateng played the full throttle for Santa in their 2-1 win over Partizan Beograd in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification first leg
Benson Anang- Zilina vs Jablonec
The Black Stars defender was in action for Zilina against Jablonec as they lost 5-1 in the first leg of the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
Isaac Cofie- Sivasspor vs FC Kobenhavn
The Ghanaian midfielder saw 72 minutes of action for Sivasspor against FC Kobenhavn which they lost 2-1
Prince Obeng & Issah Abass- Rijeka vs PAOK
Prince Obeng and Issah were in action for Rijeka against PAOK which ended 1-1 in the first leg of the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
Majeed Ashimeru- Anderlecht vs Vitesse Arheim
Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru climbed off the bench to play 21 minutes for his club Anderlecht in their 3:3 home draw with Vitesse Arheim in the UEFA Europa Conference League Qualification final first leg tie.
Francis Amuzu provided an assist for Anderlecht in the game while Dauda Mohammed was an unused substitute for the home side.
