Isaac “the royal storm” Dogbe lost his world tittle defence to Mexican boxer Emmanuel Navarrete in a heated 12 round bout.
Read in full Dogbe’s very first reaction;
“All I’ve got to say is Neho! Neho! Neho! You know in all things I give the first praise to the almighty God, that he protected all of us in the ring, it was a great fight, Emmanuel Navarrete , he fought like a true Mexican, he fought a great fight and I couldn’t stay down. You know, champions are not meant to stay down, get back up and keep fighting, that’s exactly what I did, we underestimated him a lil bit, but look, this is a fine game, the best is supposed to fight the best , at the end of the night, the best man won the tonight and I can only congratulate him, and this is what the division needs, you know ,if the best is out there, you have to face the best, that’s what keeps the division buzzing”.
Speaking on a possible rematch when asked, he answered ;
“Most definitely, you know I didn’t the best of training camps for this trip but look, I came out here and it’s unfortunate that I’m leaving without the title but he is told me a lesson that next time we have got to work extra extra hard and do what we used to do previously, now I have learnt a lesson that I can’t take things easy, we’ve got to work as hard as we were and keep maintaining the hunger that we had before capturing the title”.
Dogbe lost his very first fight in twenty-one (21) showings, knocking out opponents fourteen(14) times.
