Real Tamale United has officially filed a protest against BA United after the Division One League match between the two teams was ended abruptly as referee Maxwell Hanson was assaulted by the home fans.
Hanson awarded a penalty against the home team at the Sunyani Coronation Park last Sunday but B.A United players protested against the decision after which section of their fans did same.
The game could not continue due to mayhem between both teams and their fans.
“We have filed a complaint with the GFA. We did that this afternoon.” Sey Mubarak the RTU Communications Officer told Gh One TV on Monday night.
“We followed that up with the report of what happened at the Coronation Park.” he added.
The GFA Disciplinary Committee is expected to rule on the matter as soon as possible.
Bofoakwa Tano lead the league table in that zone with 55 points against 53 of RTU whose last game is the match under question.
