Ghana’s diminutive attacker, Soloman Asante has been named Player-Of-The-Week in the United States League Championships.
The former TP Mazembe star man won the USL Most Valuable Player last season picked up from where he left off by showing great sharpness in the early stages of the new campaign.
Asante notched two goals and registered one assist as Rising FC walked over LA Galaxy II by a convincing 4-0 last Saturday night at Casino Arizona Field.
The former Ghana winger has three goals and three assists in two matches for Phoenix so far this season.
After the total votes casted, the 29-year-old earned 74% of the votes to walk home as the USL Player of the Week for the third round of games.
