Ghana’s sports minister Hon Nii Lantey Vandapuje has stated his country will ensure to qualify to the 2018 World cup to be staged in Russia through a transparent manner but not in “some way”
With two days left for Ghana to kick of the 2018 World cup qualifiers in Tamale, The Sports minister has declared Ghana will not engage in any sort of under dealings which will render the Black Stars an undue advantage over their opponents.
The Sports minister speaking on Kumasi based Metro FM affirmed the sports ministry in collaboration with the government will ensure their opponent gets a fair treatment.
“We as MOYS and government will do everything that is legal and right to help the Black Stars qualify for the Worldcup. We always want to be transparent and fair to our opponents. Gone were the days we treat opposition teams in some way” Said the minister.
“The payment plan of bonuses to the Black Stars is one that all parties have agreed. When they play, they leave for their clubs and when they come back for the next game, they then receive the bonus for the previous game.” He added on the player’s bonuses.
Ghana will play Uganda to open their Russia 2018 world cup qualification campaign in Tamale on Friday at exactly 3:30 Pm.
