Former Ghana FA Presidential candidate Nana Yaw Amponsah has labeled the Ghana FA executive council as insensitive towards the members of the Association for failing to come to the aid of the clubs after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nana Amponsah who joined a panel of top Football administrators to discuss the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Football on Happy FM maintained that the FA executives have led a luxurious lifestyle at the expense of the clubs.
The Phar Rangers boss stressed that the Ghana FA has failed in all of its actions during this pandemic, Especially having to renovate their building in crisis period.
“Our money is in and you won’t give us but you are rather writing to govt seeking for help. Let your members feel the money”
“The Ghana FA has been insensitive to its members in this COVID era. They didn’t even supply protective masks for its members but they rather busy renovating the FA building. What happens if their members die after this crisis”? Nana Yaw Fumed.
Nana Yaw further questioned the rationale behind the FA’s renovation of the Association’s headquarters when members are in need of basic equipments to fight the pandemic.
“Why should the same building be renovated twice within one year. They should forget about their expensive lifestyle and buying new cars. It is not needed. They should solve the problems facing their members before buying their new cars”. He added.
The astute Football administrator advised the Ghana FA to institute policies that will ensure the clubs are properly placed to function after the pandemic.
