Veteran sports journalist and president of Sports Writers Association of Ghana, Kwabena Yeboah has described Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC midfielder Fabio Gama as intelligent and better player than Ibrahim Salifu of Accra Hearts of Oak SC.
Speaking on Oyerepa FM in Kumasi, the ace journalist insisted and revealed his reasons for rating the Brazilian import higher than the former Techiman XI Wonders talisman.
“Salifu is more combative. In terms of physicality he beats Gama but in terms of raw football intelligence, reading the game & passing, Gama is ahead”, Kwabena Yeboah stated.
The 28-year-old Brazilian has scored three goals and provided four assists in 18 matches for the Porcupine Warriors since his arrival at the club this season and has also been named as Man-Of-The-Match once.
20-year-old Ibrahim Salifu of Hearts of Oak have also found the back of the net once for the Phobians and also scored one goal during his days at XI Wonders against Ashantigold.
The diminutive midfielder has also provided two assists in 20 matches this season in the Ghana Premier League and has won the Man-Of-The-Match accolade on seven occasions.
Both players are left-footed midfield-gems who has been lightening up the Ghana top-flight this campaign for their respective teams as they battle for the covetous trophy.
