English born Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey is expected to get some minutes on Wednesday when Brighton & Hove Albion host Championship outfit Swansea City in the third round of the EFL Cup.
The 21-year-old right-back just recovered from a knee injury after being on the sidelines since the middle of December last year.
Lamptey started training last week and was in the match day squad for the 2-1 win against Leicester City over the weekend although he didn’t feature.
According to reports from England, Brighton manager Graham Potter is ready to give him some playing time on Wednesday against Swansea in the league cup in midweek.
He could thus get a starting berth against Crystal Palace on Monday, September 27.
