Despite falling short of qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, Black Queens forward Evelyn Badu maintains a hopeful perspective on the team’s future.
After the team’s 3-3 draw with Zambia’s Copper Queens on Wednesday, resulting in a 4-3 aggregate loss in the third qualifying round, Badu expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their unwavering support.
Looking ahead, Badu remains optimistic, believing that brighter days are on the horizon for the Black Queens.
“The future is bright,” she remarked. “Thanks for the wonderful support.”
As the team prepares to return to Ghana on Thursday, they will shift their focus to the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this year.
