Black Stars deputy captain, Thomas Partey’s return from injury inspired England Premiership team Arsenal FC to victory over Newcastle United.
The Ghanaian playmaker enjoyed 67 minutes of action in the Gunners comfortable 3-0 win at home on Monday night.
After a goalless opening 45 minutes of the match, the Ghanaian surplied a beautiful and defense splitting pass to team captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang on the 50th minute mark to score the first goal of the to put the Gunners 1-0 up.
Bukayo Saka made it 2-0 to the hosts after 60 minutes of the match before Aubameyang grabbed his brace on the night to put the game beyond the visitors on the 77th minutes mark to make 3-0.
Partey after 67 minutes and when Arsenal was leading 2-0 was substituted by head coach Mikkel Arteta and was replaced by Mohammed Elneny from Egypt.
The 27-year-old central-midfielder has one assist in seven appearances for the Red and Whites.
