Esperance de Tunis could win the 2019/20 Tunisia Ligue Professionnelle the earliest if the team of Kwame Bonsu are able to win their next three league games regardless of the results of the close challengers Sfaxien.
The Tunisia league is a 14-club competition meaning each club plays total of 26 matches each season.
This projection is is correct assuming Sfaxien – who are second place and currently on 43 points as they lead Ben Guerdane at half time- also win all their remaining fixtures. Should Sxfaxien drop points in subsequent matches then Esperance could win the league title if they pick all points of their next two games.
Esperance lead the table with 50 points and play at home against Stade Tunisien on Saturday night. Bonsu is expected to feature as usual.
Kwame Bonsu joined the Tunisia giants from Asante Kotoko in June 2019 in a controversial deal worth 150 000 US Dollars and quickly adapted to the tough life of North African football.
