Two-time CAF Champions League winners and IFFHS Africa Club of the Century Kumasi-based Asante Kotoko SC have added to the elite clubs in Africa by the Confederation of Africa Football.
The Ghana’s most successful club, Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have officially been included in the CAF Super League meeting in Cameroon.
The two-time CAF Champions League winners are among the clubs being considered by CAF to form the new club competition on the African continent.
Kotoko won their first continental trophy in 1970 and made it two trophies in the CAF Champions League competition with another cup success in 1983.
The Porcupine Warriors have been champions of the Ghana Premier League a record 24 times, have won the CAF Champions League twice and were adjudged the African club of the century by International Football Federation of History and Statistics.
Executive board chairmen, Dr. Kwame Kyei is in Doaula in Cameroon for the meeting and will watch the Final of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament between Egypt and Senegal on Sunday.
