Black Satellites winger Mathew Anim Cudjoe has expressed excitement following his team’s semifinal qualification at the ongoing Caf U-20 Nations Cup in Mauritania.
Ghana defeated the Young Loins of Cameroon 4-2 on penalties for a place in the semi-final of the ongoing AFCON U-20 championship.
Cameroon and Ghana played out a goalless stalemate a the end of the 90 minutes in a very boring game throughout the regulation time.
During extra-time, the Cameroonians struck first through Kevin-Prince Milla scored from a corner kick after he was directly assisted by Etoo three minutes to the end of the first half of the extra time.
Sixty seconds later, Hearts of Oak striker and Ghana captain, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh set up substitute Frank Boateng to score the equalizer before the end of the first 15 minutes of extra time.
After a 1-1 stalemate at the end of the extra time, Ghana won the game 4-2 on penalties to book a place in the semi-final of the tournament.
