Gambian midfielder Ethan Bojang is happy with his country’s win over Ghana and subsequent qualification to the second round of the ongoing 2021 Under 20 AFCON in Mauritania.
The “Young Scorpions” came from behind to beat Ghana by two goals to one on Monday evening at the Stade Municipal de Nouadhibou and Bojang has praised their effort.
“Never in a million years did I think that when I started football as a kid that I’d be playing for my country let alone playing in the African cup of nations quarter final, Next up Central African Republic, Proud to be a part of this team and what an experience it’s been so far!” He posted on his official Twitter page.
Bojang, 18, was born to a Gambian father and an English mother in England and currently captains the Under 19 side of League 1 outfit Doncaster Rovers.
