Ghanaian youngster, Kwadwo Opoku Mahala scored a superb goal in the CONCACAF Champions League quarter final for Los Angeles FC against Mexican side Cruz Azul.
His goal on 16 December 2020, was his first goal for LAFC in the CONCACAF Champions League quarter-finals against Cruz Azul on a volley to give his side a 2–1 lead on the 71st minute of the match.
Yoshima Yotun scored on the 15th minute of the match to put the Mexicans in from but Mexican international Carlos Vela scored a 38th minute penalty to cancel the Blue and Whites lead before half time.
Opoku’s goal on Wednesday evening is his first goal of the MLS side since he joined from Attram de Visser Academy in Ghana.
LAFC won the game and are through to take on Club América FC, another Méxican side in the semi-final on three days time.
