Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has bid Swansea City AFC an emotional farewell after leaving the club at the end of the 2020-21 season.
Ayew, who’s leaving the club this summer took to social media to send an emotional goodbye message to the Welsh team.
“I’m very happy and thankful for the opportunity that you gave to me to play for your esteemed football club over the years” Ayew said.
The Swansea deputy captain will no longer be at the club ahead of the 2021-22 after the expiration of his deal with the Jack Army’s.
“I’m very sad I am leaving the club but I will always have a special place in my heart for the Jack Army’s because I truly love the people involved at the club”, he stated.
“I haven’t had a chance to talk to you after the Championship Playoffs final defeat because it was very painful loss and I wish we made it to the Premier League together to play for this club at the top-flight but nonetheless I’m grateful to you all for your love and support throughout the journey “, he added.

The 31-year-old Ghana captain scored 17 goals and provided four assists to end the season as the Championship side top scorer.
Ayew is a free agent now and has been linked with a move to Leeds United to reconcile with his former coach Marcelo Bielsa.
