Ghanaian forward, Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah continued from where he left off last season for SC Kriens in their season opener win against Xamax FC on Saturday.

The Ghana International scored twice for his side in their 3-1 win at home in the Switzerland Challenge League coupled with a sizzling display throughout the match.

Abubakar-Ankrah opened his account in the 31st of the match to put Kriens 1-0 up to settle the early nerves of the home fans.

Liridon Muraj made it a two goals advantage for the host six minutes later with a pinpoint finish before the break.

Raphaël Nuzzolo after the break scored a penalty to reduce the deficit for the visitors who were struggling in the match.

20 minutes to the final whistle, Abubakar Ankrah converted a spot-kick to restore the home team’s two goals lead to bang in his first brace in the first match of the 2020-21 season.

The game ended 3-1 to the Gold and Green team as they begin their quest for promotion into the Switzerland Super League.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian international has caught the eyes of many suites and his brace could open more offers for him before the transfer window ends in Europe.
