Ghanaian international striker Benjamin Tetteh made it 5 goals in 8 matches in the Turkish Super Lig this campaign for his team Yeni Malatyaspor on Friday evening.
The former Tema Youth player played 86 minutes of the match and scored to help his side secure a vital home win over Altay to move six places above the relegation zone.
Tetteh who initially joined the Yellow and Blacks on loan from Sparta Prague last season before making his move permanent this season opened the scoring in the second half after a goalless first 45 minutes.
The 24-year-old’s right-footed effort from the center of the box went into the bottom right corner to put the hosts 1-0 up before Adem Büyük made it 2-0 from the spot.
Altay got themselves a late equalizer from a spot kick converted by Daouda Bamba inside 84 minutes to make the final score 2-1.
