Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu has rubbished claims that the Phobians’ are 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title-winning candidates.
The Phobians have gone on a 6-game unbeaten run and moved 3rd on the league table after back-to-back wins over WAFA and Aduana Stars – scoring 6 goals and conceding none.
Despite defeating Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium in Sunday’s late kick-off Boadu insisted that his side is not in a rush to win the league title.
“We are not in a rush to win the league title,” he told reporters.
The Ghanaian giants have not won the Ghana Premier League title since 2009 and fans are eager to see the club back on the pinnacle of Ghana football.
The former Caf Champions League winners have won the Ghana Premier League title 20 times, three adrift of rivals Asante Kotoko.
