Black Stars skipper, Andre Ayew has promised to put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians on Monday against Qatar.
The Black Stars suffered a humiliating defeat to fellow West African side, Mali on Friday in Turkey, and the Swansea City deputy captain has promised football loving fans in Ghana a better performance in the upcoming friendly against the Asian champions.
“Qatar are the Asian Champions. We are going to prepare, we are ready for them, like I said, they have a full squad, full house, they are coming with everybody”, Ayew told the Ghana FA website after the game.
According to the Ghana captain, he understands there are several new faces in the Ghana squad but believes the team will give Ghanaians something to smile about.
“We can say that we have a lot of new players in the squad. New players that the staff wants to see, so we are going to go to this pitch and give everything that we have and make sure that we give Ghanaians something to smile about.
The Ghana forward added that, they team likewise himself will not predict the outcome of the match but believes strongly that the Lads will do better than the Mali game.
“But we are not going to sit here and make predictions. I know that the boys will give everything that they have because these are boys who have come into the team and dream to stay in the Black Stars,” he concluded.
