Aduana Stars, Evans Oppong believes the Ogya lads will retain the Ghana Premier League title.
The Dormaa-based club who are defending League champions are yet to play their first game this season after their league opener with Hearts of Oak was postponed.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian’s side will face King Faisal in their matchday two fixture of the 2020/21 season this Sunday.
“We’ve informed our players and supporters groups in a meeting that Aduana Stars have already won the 2020/21 league season.”
“In Ghana, you can’t win the Premier League with new players. We have players who have played the club for three to four years so there is some telepathic understanding between them, so our key weapon is consistency and longevity,” he told OTEC FM in Kumasi.
“We’ve promised our club owner, Nana Agyemang Badu I, with the league trophy for celebration as part of his appointment as the president of Bono Regional house of Chief.
“The GFA should hand the trophy to us and stop the remaining clubs from time-wasting.”
