The Phobians are shooting admiring glances at the talented forward but have been told to dig deep their coffers for his services.
Hearts of Oak will need to cough up an abnormal transfer fee for star striker Victorien Adebayor if they want to snatch him from Inter Allies, according to club chief Willie Klutse.
The 22-year-old marksman has become a prime transfer target for the former league champions and have enquired about his possible acquisition from his employers.
Following a blistering start to the truncated 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season, the in-demand goal poacher is likely to cross-carpet having been slapped with many bids from suitors.
And now his club chief has sounded a warning to admirers that have circled around his signature to be ready and fork out huge offers for their prized asset.
“Adebayor is one of the top strikers in Africa. Nobody can take a ball from him. He is a high quality player,” Klutse said on Accra-based Happy FM.
He continued: “Adebayor is very, very expensive. Hearts of Oak should come well prepared. He is a top striker in Niger.”
Hearts of Oak should gather the courage to approach us with an offer. I don’t think the money on Adebayor will be too much for Hearts of Oak as
Togbe Afede can buy him for them.
